Established in 1971, BFCL has evolved into a symbol of excellence, trust and commitment. Initially focused on Steel Ingot production, BFCL now thrives in Ferro Alloys and Sponge Iron manufacturing. A recent addition is the production facility for low and medium-carbon Ferro Manganese via the CLU route. BFCL’s Ferro Alloy division, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 MT, leads the company, contributing over 60% of the FY 2022-23 turnover. Our Ferro Alloys are exported to 20+ countries, positioning us among India’s top 10 Ferro Alloy exporters.

Our range encompasses Medium and Low Carbon Ferro Manganese in all Grades, with a manganese content spanning 70-84%. Achieving extra low carbon content of up to 0.10% is made possible through the advanced CLU converter.

Founded by first-generation entrepreneur Dr. Hari Krishna Budhia, BFCL boasts five decades of steel industry expertise. After earning a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, USA, in 1971, Dr. Budhia, alongside his late brother A.R. Budhia, established a steel manufacturing facility near Ranchi. Driven by his vision, BFCL now stands as a global player, exporting Ferro Alloys to 20+ countries under his leadership.
